Objective: To investigate the expression and clinical significance of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and estrogen and progesterone receptor (ER, PR) in breast invasive ductal carcinoma. Methods: The expression of COX-2, VEGF, ER and PR in 100 cases of breast invasive ductal carcinoma and 40 cases of benign breast neoplasm were detected and their relationship with biological behavior was analyzed. Results: The positive rate of COX-2 in breast cancer group was 54% compared with the control group, and the positive rate of VEGF was 66%, which was significantly different from the control group. In ER, PR negative group, VEGF, COX-2 positive expression rate is higher. Conclusion: The high expression of COX-2 and VEGF in breast invasive ductal carcinoma is closely related to the growth and metastasis of breast cancer, which may be used as a good indicator to reflect the biological behavior and prognosis of breast cancer.
