随着我国农村沼气事业的发展,它的综合效益日益显著,广大群众取得了经济、生态及社会效益。粪便是沼气发酵的原料,又是农业生产的优质有机肥料,也是造成土壤及水源生物污染的主要来源。而土壤是微生物在自然界的最大贮藏所,用未经彻底无害化处理的人畜便施肥,必须造成土壤的生物污染。粪便进入沼气池经一定时间的厌氧发酵是杀灭各种致病菌及寄生虫卵的有效措施。目前,国际上均以大肠杆菌做为衡量食物、水及环境受粪便污染程度。大肠菌群细菌基本上包括全部需氧的革兰氏阴性杆菌,因此将大肠菌群作中粪便污染的指示菌是比较合适
