Early non-enhanced CT scans showed a high density of middle cerebral artery (MCA) images before the infarct was detected, and disappeared in a few days, consistent with the disappearance of the clot itself, suggesting a poor prognosis. The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of high-density cerebral artery disease and its clinical significance. Among the 272 patients with first acute cerebrovascular accident, there were 132 males and 140 females with an average age of 67.36 years (range, 15-96 years). Among them, 151 cases were infarction of middle cerebral artery, all patients within 12 hours after onset and 10 to 15 days routine non-enhanced CT scan.
