The promotion of market-oriented reform requires a deep theoretical explanation of the market and its inherent operating mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a new perspective to observe the market, analyze new ways of market, and explain the new category of the inner operation mechanism of the market. The category of “market power” can become an entry point or a starting point for understanding the deep structure of the market and the inner operation mechanism theoretically. This paper studies “market power” as a scientific category, mainly examining the existence, connotation and structure of market forces and their relationship with other related categories.
