随着全世界对英语认识的深入,我国的翻译人员发现,在英语中也有类似于我国汉语中双关语的应用。双关语,顾名思义,就是一句话中暗含着两种或者两种以上含义的语句。这种语句在我国日常生活中经常被用到。双关语即幽默,又能根据语境的不同而显现不同的含义,所以经常能够成功吸引人们的视线。因为双关语的语义需要以上下文的整体含义来确定,所以在将英语翻译成汉语时,就必须要注意双关语的翻译方法。通常在英语中的双关语,其文化底蕴都非常深厚,如果对于西方文化了解得不是非常的深,那么很多晦涩的英语双关语的翻译就会变得很困难,甚至出现翻译错误的现象。本文意在通过对几种常见的双关语进行浅析,探讨如何才能够正确地去翻译双关语。
With the deepening understanding of English in the world, translators in our country find that there are also similar applications of English pun in Chinese. Pun, as its name implies, is a statement implicit in two or more meanings. This kind of sentence is often used in our daily life. Puan is a humorous, but also according to the context of different manifestations of different meanings, it is often able to successfully attract people’s attention. Because the semantic meaning of puns needs to be determined by the overall meaning of the context, when translating English into Chinese, one must pay attention to the translation method of puns. The usual pun in English, its cultural heritage are very profound, if not very deep understanding of Western culture, so many obscure English puns translation will become very difficult, even the phenomenon of translation errors. This article aims to analyze several common puns to explore how to correctly translate puns.
