Anhui Institute of Light Machinery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully developed the L625 large-scale laser radar for the first time and detected the Pinatubo volcano in the Philippines at an altitude of 21 kilometers. Its particle concentration is more than ten times greater than the normal concentration of particles at the same height. Twenty-one night from L625 LIDAR detection data show that the thickness of the volcano cloud has been expanded from the beginning of 1.2 kilometers to four kilometers
