Ethics is a series of concepts that guide behavior and is a philosophical reflection on moral phenomena from a conceptual perspective. Translation as a human practice must also be ethically bound. The traditional ethics of translation was subverted under the criticism of the theory of cultural criticism, but with the development of translation studies, ethical issues have returned to the academic field of vision. Based on the five translation ethics mode proposed by Chesterman, this paper analyzes the English version of the Three Character Classic by Zhai Lester, and concludes that although English version of the Three Character Classic is inevitable, it is still in the process of ethical translation In which we explain some translation ethics, from which we can draw a lot of useful enlightenment.
