通过对棉田不同覆草量、不同覆草方式的试验研究,结果表明:(1)覆草可明显改善棉田生态条件,使棉田0~20cm土壤含水量提高0.07~1.83个百分点,有机质含量提高0.103~0.2个百分点,速效钾含量提高4~32mg/kg,容重下降0.027~0.057g/cm3,孔隙度提高1.1~1.9个百分点;(2)覆草还可抑制棉田杂草的发生,对单子叶杂草的抑制效果更为明显;(3)覆草可使棉花成铃强度提高0.0149~0.0695铃/日·株,单株成铃数增加1.15~2.58个,亩总铃增加3905~8624个,单铃重提高0.14~0.29g,产量提高12.99%~19.44%;(4)不同处理中,以亩覆草200kg,高培土20cm效果最佳;(5)其配套栽培技术主要是配施速效氮、磷肥,提高棉田培土高度
