In the semi-arid tropics, sorghum is a food-for-work crop and is a major food crop. Potassium fertilizer is indispensable for sorghum because of its ability to increase yield, quality, and resistance to various environmental stresses (Tandon et al., 1988). Due to a lack of information on potassium nutrition in rain-fed sorghum, studies were conducted on the effects of potassium on sorghum production in the rainy season. In 1988, two sorghum cultivars (SPV462 and hybrid CSH5) were planted in the Hyderabad city in the rainy season. Randomized block design was used and eight replicates were conducted. Soil is medium-depth leaching soil, effective
