英语后进生一直是大学英语教学的一项难题。当前大学英语教学的现状表明,英语水平未能达到大纲要求的所谓“后进生”大有人在,这些后进生的智力并没有问题,而是由于缺乏学习兴趣、学习方法不当等原因造成的。大学英语教师应根据后进生形成的具体原因,从教师和学生的角度入手,特别是运用情感策略,提高师生情感因素,从而培养后进生的学习兴趣,使他们认真主动地学习英语。
English after graduation has been a difficult problem in college English teaching. The present situation of college English teaching shows that there are many people who are so-called “backward students” whose English proficiency fails to meet the outline requirements. These backward students have no problem with intelligence but are due to a lack of interest in learning and inappropriate learning methods . College English teachers should start from the perspective of teachers and students according to the specific reasons for the backward students. In particular, they should use emotional strategies to improve the teachers and students’ affective factors so as to cultivate the learning interest of postgraduates so that they can learn English conscientiously and initiatively.
