Psychologists have done such experiments: make predictions on groups of students, and then tell the teacher that there are several students who are very smart: There must be something in the future. In fact, the situation of these students is the same as that of other students. There is nothing extraordinary about these students. However, after listening to the words of a psychologist, the teacher sat down with respect to the students who were called “very clever” and he consciously or unconsciously gave more attention, encouragement, care, and guidance to these students. As a result, after a certain period of time, these students’ achievements have miraculously leapt into many and become outstanding among students. This phenomenon, psychologists call it “Pygmalion effect.” As an educator, what can we learn from it?
