From August 2 to August 5, 1991, the International Conference on Ancient Chinese Costumes (ISCAD) was held in Jingzhou, Hubei Province. This is the first international conference sponsored by the mainland for the study of ancient Chinese costumes. There were 56 formal representatives attending the conference, including 35 from mainland China, 8 from Taiwan, 4 from Japan, 9 from South Korea and 20 from South Korea With great interest to attend the entire meeting.
