1993年11月18日下午2时30分,北京市劲松职业高中中餐烹饪专业三年级学生齐彭涛,随国家第十次南极考察团27名队员登上国际航班专机,途经美国,取道智利,赴南极长城站进行为期14个月的科学考察工作,还将经历半年的黑夜生活。这是目前我国派往南极工作的年龄最小的队员,也是第一名中学生。他将用所学的烹饪技术为南极科学家做出更香、更可口的饭菜。 为适应复杂的南极工作环境,1992年冬天齐彭涛同学参加了由南极委员会组织的去黑龙江半个多月的培训。回校后,他在学习专业理论的同时,在校实习餐厅进行了烹调技艺的强化实习。临行前,他还买了十几本烹调书籍,以提高自己的烹调水平。
