The notion that autonomic dysfunction can cause auditory disturbances draws attention to the distribution of sympathetic nerves in the ear. Nerve distribution may affect blood supply, and sympathetic nerves are more likely to promote afferent nerve activity. This article examines the role of sympathetic nerves for the maintenance of normal hearing is necessary. Listening thresholds were examined in detail before and after the experimental cat’s ipsilateral sympathetic trunk and supraspinatus injury. The absolute hearing thresholds and masking thresholds of three monaural experimental cats were measured, and then the ipsilateral supramaxillary ganglion and superior sympathetic trunk were excised under anesthesia. Three days after the start of examination, continued two and a half years, no change in hearing, that there is no impulse to sympathetic, cochlear can maintain normal state. It is conceivable that the sympathetic nerves affect the blood supply or act on the auditory nerve through the nerve endings. The preceding paragraph already illustrates both cases
