河流的形成与演化受地形地貌、水文气象及构造运动等诸因素控制,其中后者是决定因素。通过对鄂西清江地区构造运动发展演化研究,认为清江是在中更新世时期由江汉盆地水系袭夺恩施盆地水系形成的;其后一直处于下切侵蚀过程中,但不同河段表现为不同演变特点,既有峡谷型下切,也有曲流型侵蚀;并对清江下游表现为平原型河曲的形成条件提出了新的看法。
The formation and evolution of rivers are controlled by various factors such as topography, hydrometeorology and tectonic movement. The latter is the decisive factor. Through the study of the evolution of the tectonic movement in the Qingjiang area in Western Hubei Province, it is concluded that the Qingjiang River was formed during the Middle Pleistocene by the water system of the Jianghan Basin, and was subsequently subjected to the undercut erosion process, , Both the canyon undercutting and meandering erosion; and put forward a new view on the forming conditions of plain meanders in the lower Qingjiang River.
