我厂工具连工人、技术人员和干部发扬“自力更生”、“艰苦奋斗”的革命精神,运用唯物论的反映论,冲破因循守旧的框框,大胆实践,勇于实践,成功地制造了一台一百公斤无芯工频感应电炉,并实现了精密铸造的革新项目,开始投入生产。 精密铸造是机械工业中的先进工艺,采用这种工艺的优点主要是“吃废料”,它不仅把用过的废旧工具、料头等回炉熔化浇铸成新的工具,而且其钢材化学成份基本上不变,可节约大量钢材。并能浇铸出各种形状复杂的零件,达到少切削或无切削,大大减少机械加工工时。例如:车工气动卡盘卡爪,全年消耗2000个左右,过去需要经过车、钳、插、铣、磨、热等八个工序,机械加工工时2—2·5小时,材料采用优质工具钢,材料利用率仅达20%左右。
