Experimental Acquired In Situ Dextran in Streptococcus mutans S was observed by in vitro experiments. mutans and S. sobrinus attached to the role of tooth surface process. The results showed that the two bacteria had the similar ability to produce GTF and in situ dextran, but the difference between the two bacteria ’s attachment rate and attachment rate was larger. In the presence of sucrose and GTF, S, sobrinus attachment rate was significantly higher than S. mutans. Prompt in situ dextran in S. sobrinus plays an important role in the attachment, S, sobrinus mainly succulent-dependent mechanism of settlement of the tooth surface, Mutans colonize the tooth surface mainly in a sucrose-independent manner.
