This paper studies the effect of clutter and non-ideal atmospheric conditions on the performance of millimeter-wave radar systems. Over the years, a series of studies have been conducted on radar reflections from the surface, sea, rain and snow in order to determine the possible effects of applying millimeter waves to selected systems. The data and analysis include all common 9.5 GHz and 95 GHz radar. To study the correlation of frequencies, average measurements were made and factors such as the polarization, amplitude distribution of millimeter-wave radars, and the spectrum that has a significant impact on the application of modern signal processing techniques were considered.
