当前家庭经济困难学生问题是国家、社会、高校共同关注的问题。教书育人是高职教育的重中之重,高职院校家庭经济困难学生的资助工作也要紧紧围绕“育人”这一中心来开展。现阶段,我国高职院校传统的资助体系存在重资助轻教育、抓一时轻平时的情况、家庭经济困难学生认定机制不够完善、帮人与育人没有实现有机结合,其资助育人工作效率十分低下。因此必须建立一套科学、完善的资助育人体系,为社会培养一批高素质的人才。
