从电影社会学的视角来观照的话,“十七年”云南少数民族题材电影在泛文本层面上首先受到当时具有浓厚“艺术功利主义”色彩的中国电影体制的影响和规约,使其在总体风貌上不可避免的带有鲜明的时代特征;其次,作为宣传党的少数民族政策的艺术载体,“十七年”云南少数民族题材电影还受到以“民族团结”为最高诉求的“十七年”少数民族政策的规约,电影中所表达的主题思想、所塑造的人物形象等都与当时党的少数民族政策相吻合。
