For a long time, academia only positioned Wu Dingchang as a contributor to the new annotation Ta Kung Pao, and its evaluation of its true status and role was unfair and comprehensive. After acting as Minister of Industry of the Nanjing Government at the end of 1935, Ng Ding-chang broke away from the “Ta Kung Pao” by a nominal ten years or so and led academics to ignore his important role in the “Ta Kung Pao.” In fact, Wu Dingchang is the investor and the largest shareholder of the new record “Ta Kung Pao”, the initiator and modifier of the concept of “Four Noisies”, the last resorter of major decisions, and the chief writer of early editorials. Ta Kung Pao has played an irreplaceable and significant role in the history of its development.
