This boy has been at the playground. When he was there， he saw his neighbor walking her dog. She said that there was a good place for lunch around the corner1 of the street.
这个男孩一直在操场上玩。他在那里，看见邻居在遛狗，她说街角处有个吃午饭的好地方。
The boy set out to find the fish and chip shop around the corner.
男孩出发去寻找在拐角处的炸鱼薯条店。
His neighbor was right！It looked like a nice and clean place to stop in for lunch.
他的邻居是对的！它看起来是个不错的干净地方，可以顺路进去吃午饭。
He has heard about how good this place is. The boy saw some meals on the counter2 ready to go out to tables. The food looked and smelled3 so delicious！
男孩听人说过这个地方非常好。他看到柜台上有些饭菜准备端出来，这些食物看起来和闻起来都很好吃！
He heard a clamour4 to the side. A man was there taking the chips out of a box. He put the chips on a plate， then he is standing there ready to take the next order.
他听到旁边一声喊叫，一个人在那里从大盒子里拿薯条。他把薯条放在盘子里，然后站在那里准备下一道菜。
The boy likes the look of a lot of things on the menu5， but he ordered a few. The man wrote down his order on a bit of paper.
這个男孩喜欢很多菜单上的东西摆在一起的样子，但他只点了一些。那人在一张纸上写下了他点的餐。
The first thing that he picked was a fish burger. The man asked what flavors6 he liked so that he could help him to get. The man was very helpful.
他第一个选的是鱼肉汉堡。那个人问他喜欢什么口味的，这样他可以帮他拿。这个人很乐于助人。
Next he ordered a large serving of chips. The man said that he would have to work hard to get through that much. The boy thought that he could do it.
接着他点了一大份薯条。那人说他得努力吃才能吃完这么多。男孩觉得自己能吃完。
He has finished with his order， so he handed the money over to the man. He told him the place that he would sit. The man gave him some chicken fingers7 for free！How nice. The boy tried the burger. It was wonderful. He tasted the flavor. He has not had a burger this good in a while.
他已经点好了餐，所以把钱交给了那个人，告诉他自己要坐的地方。那人免费给了他一些鸡爪！人真好。男孩试吃了汉堡，太棒了。他尝着这个味道，他已经好一阵子没吃过这么好吃的汉堡了。
He has almost eaten everything up. He would have the last two bits so that he wasn’t wasting anything. He would go to the park for a nap， but first he would clean up.
他几乎把所有东西都吃光了。他马上就会吃完最后两口，这样他就不会浪费任何东西。他将去公园小睡一会儿，但首先要收拾一下。
The boy took his trash8 to the bin9 and brings his plate up to the counter. The man thanked him. He said that he was a great customer10.
男孩把垃圾扔到垃圾桶里，把盘子端到柜台上。那人谢谢他，说他是个很好的顾客。
Back out into the neighborhood， the boy would come back to this place. Next time he might even bring some of his friends so that they can try the fish and chip shop.
回到自家街区之后，男孩还会去这个地方。下一次他甚至会带几个朋友来，让他们去这家炸鱼薯条店试试。
