Studying the mechanism and process of the parties’ change is the core theme of psychological counseling research. The research on changing mechanism and process in psychological counseling is greatly influenced by the research of social psychology attitudinal change. In attitude research, social psychologists find that the message’s communicator tries to influence his audience in a predetermined direction. In counseling, counselors also try to influence the parties’ goals of counseling. Consistent with findings from a study of changes in attitudes toward psychosocial psychology, the influence of counselors also depends on two factors: credibility and attractiveness. Psychological counseling to achieve the desired effect, consultants must establish it as an important source of influence, to influence the parties to change. Impact studies need to go further, and the focus must be shifted to the processes and outcomes affected by the consultation
