艺术史的研究是一个独立的文化领域的研究。归根到底,它是寻找艺术作品中成为艺术的东西,而且结合历史的现象来研究的。艺术作品中真正成为艺术的正是它的个性和它的独创性。它拒绝我们合理性的把握,因为艺术是概念无法穷尽的。把艺术的历史不是作为诗的历史,而是作为造型语言的历史审视时,其中语言形态变迁的迹象、事件一定的惯例或规则性,甚至连某种法则性都可以指出来。也可以结合事实,调查造型语言意味变迁的历史、异质语言的接受与同化,以及语言相互间的影响关系等,特别是作为作品实际存在是可能的,并非只是把预先可能的东西现实化,所以必须把作品的存在看做是艺术的证明。
The study of art history is an independent field of culture. In the final analysis, it is to look for something that becomes art in the work of art, and to study it in the light of historical phenomena. What truly becomes art in a work of art is its character and its originality. It rejects our grasp of rationality, because art is a concept that can not be exhausted. The history of art is not regarded as the history of poetry, but as a historical review of stylistic language, in which signs of language change, certain conventions or regularity of events, and even some kind of law can be pointed out. It is also possible to combine the facts, investigate the history of stylistic language in terms of change, acceptance and assimilation of heterogeneous languages, and the influence of language on each other. In particular, it is possible to actually exist as a work, Therefore, the existence of the work must be regarded as the proof of art.
