本文使用Coh-Metrix文本分析器考察了影响我国英语专业大学生议论文写作质量的语言特征。结果发现:1)易读性(以弗莱士易读度为指标)、词频(以实义词最低对数词频为指标)、连贯性(以词干重叠相邻句子比例为指标)和句长(以句子平均单词数为指标)与作文质量的相关度较高,一元回归分析显示它们分别能够解释作文成绩33.9%、33.8%、17%和13.4%的方差;2)作文成绩的预测模型为:作文成绩(百分制)=118.633-(0.778×弗莱士易读度)+(0.062×单词数)-(0.156×实义词最低具体度),该模型可以解释作文成绩44.4%的方差。
This article uses the Coh-Metrix text analyzer to examine the language features that affect the quality of essay writing in college English majors. The results are as follows: 1) legibility (using Frees’ reading as an index), word frequency (using the least significant logarithmic frequency as an indicator), coherence The results of one-way regression analysis show that they can explain the variance of 33.9%, 33.8%, 17% and 13.4% of composition scores respectively. 2) Prediction model of composition score As follows: composition score (percentile) = 118.633- (0.778 × Frees’ easy reading) + (0.062 × number of words) - (0.156 × real minimum specific degree), the model can explain the composition of 44.4% of the variance.
