Methods According to the national public health emergencies report and key infectious disease surveillance and other monitoring data and departmental notification information, expert consultation method was used to evaluate. Results As the summer approached, the total number of reported national public health emergency incidents in July and the number of cases were expected to decline. Intestinal infectious diseases and insect-borne diseases have entered the epidemic season; there is still the possibility of partial outbreaks of malaria due to input; the overall epidemic situation of hand-foot-mouth disease shows a downward trend, but the number of reported cases, severe cases and deaths will continue to remain high Level; food poisoning incidents still maintain a high level. The progress of the Middle East respiratory syndrome outbreaks and the international response still need close attention. In addition, attention should be given to the secondary public health risks that may result from meteorological and natural disasters. Conclusion It is estimated that the outbreak of public health emergencies and infectious diseases in China in July 2013 will be similar to that in previous years in July, with a focus on the Middle East respiratory syndrome and food poisoning incidents.
