In Beijing’s “three fronts” project, there are 37 high-rise buildings in the front row, of which 21 use cast-in-place pile foundations, a building area of 228,000 square meters, a total of about 10,000 drill piles, and a total footage of about 100,000 meters. The use of cast-in-place piles for high-rise buildings in China is still in the initial stage, and there is a large number of applications in the earthquake area that are even less inexperienced. Through the “first three” project design, construction practices, and scientific experiments such as pile driving, static penetration testing and settlement observation, some experience has been gained in the design of such pile foundations, and some problems have also been discovered. In order to provide information for future design and conduct scientific research work better, the following is a brief introduction for reference.
