In order to explore the effect of poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) on the survival rate and virus content of aquatic animal infected with White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV), single-factor concentration gradient method was used to add WSSV-infected Chinese shrimp The diets containing different concentrations of poly (β-hydroxybutyrate) (0.0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.5%, 5.0%, 10.0%) were collected and the numbers of dead shrimp, survival rate, relative immune protection rate (RPS) , And the absolute content of virus in dead shrimp was determined by real-time PCR. The results showed that PHB had certain influence on the survival rate, average survival time and virus copy number of M. crisparius, mainly as compared with the control group (0.0%). With the increase of PHB concentration, the survival rate and The average survival time showed an upward trend and a downward trend. The average survival time of each group was 82.23, 90.71, 95.55, 91.15, 85.56 and 79.40 h, respectively. The average survival time of shrimp in 1.0% concentration group was not significantly different from that of 0.5% and 2.5% (P> 0.05) Each group (P <0.05); The cumulative mortality in each group was 100%. In addition, the average virus copy number in each group was also found to be 1.08 × 107, 1.15 × 107, 4.75 × 107, 1.27 × 107, 1.14 × 107, and 3.29 × 106 DNA per milligram. The virus content in the control group was significantly different from that in the 1% (P <0.05). The results showed that PHB could improve the ability of Chinese shrimp to resist WSSV and the optimal concentration of 1% PHB.
