近年来,随着互联网的快速发展和个人电脑的普及,互联网数据流激增,以传统的铜缆接入方式运作的接入网显然已经无法满足通信业务量增长的需求。由于光纤具有传输频带宽、容量大、损耗低、抗干扰能力强的优点,非常适合作为高速、宽带业务的传输媒体。而在各种光接入技术中,PON(无源光网络)技术由于采用无源节点、敷设和运行维护成本低、对业务透明和易于升级等优点而备受关注。
In recent years, with the rapid development of the Internet and the popularization of personal computers, the data flow of Internet has surged. The access network operating with the traditional copper access has apparently already been unable to meet the demand for the growth of communication traffic. As the fiber has the advantages of transmission bandwidth, large capacity, low loss, strong anti-interference ability, it is very suitable as a transmission medium for high-speed and broadband services. In various optical access technologies, PON (Passive Optical Network) technology is attracting much attention for its advantages of passive nodes, low laying and operation and maintenance costs, transparent and easy-to-upgrade services.
