The Influence of Qin Shihuang’s Burning Book on the Spread of Literature Classics Yu Yulian and Liu Lianping In the thirty-fourth year of Qin Shihuang (213 BC), in order to strengthen the domination, to restrain ideas and consolidate the unity, Qin Shihuang accepted the advice of Lith and ordered the book to be burned.
