对学生进行法制教育是培养和增强学生法制观念和遵守纪律的行为习惯、实现培养目标的需要,是技校领导和教师义不容辞的职责。必须针对学生的身心特点,多管齐下,注重实效,在校园内营造浓郁的法制教育氛围。青少年时期是人生观、世界观、价值观初步形成的重要阶段,学生的可塑性很强。这一时期,无论生理还是心理都急剧变化。一方面精力充沛、充满活力、处处焕发出勃勃生机、思想活跃;另一方面又往往自以为是、好激动、易冲动、遇事不冷静、容易做出莽撞的事情。类似旷课、夜不归宿、吸烟酗酒、打架斗殴、强行索要财物、小偷小摸等行为,如果不加强纪律法制教育,放任自流,就会由量变导致质变,发展成为违法犯罪分子。这方面的教训是深刻的。学生在校期间所受的教育和自身习惯的养成,对步入社会以后影响很大。
