榆林窟作为莫高窟的姊妹窟,虽然在佛教思想、壁画内容、艺术风格等诸多方面有相似之处,但是,榆林窟也具有独特的艺术特征:如洞窟形制上,有完整的前室和长甬道,主室壁上画出十二根排柱支撑窟顶宝帐的窟室样式;壁画艺术中,表现形式以大乘显教为主,密教为辅,密教以藏密为主、汉密为辅,同时吸收藏传佛教绘画的特点;壁画内容中,有大量的少数民族人物画像、画工画师画像,同时出现了一些神话题材作品。另外,西夏的线描除了继承唐、五代时期的线描外,也出现了一些运笔有新变化的线描。本文选取有代表性的榆林窟西夏后期的第3窟壁画作为研究对象,阐述了壁画的内容特征和艺术风格。

In this paper, we select the representative murals of the third cave in the late Xixia period of Yulin Grottoes as the research object and expound the content features and artistic styles of the murals.
