阿勒泰前寒武纪地层主要指分布于中、哈额尔齐斯带及其以北的冲乎尔—青河地区的古、中元古代克木齐群和分布于白哈巴—哈纳斯及北部山区的震旦纪哈巴河群。克木齐群为一套中深变质岩系,全岩Sm-Nd等时线年龄为1400±78Ma(胡锡琴等,1993),锆石、钾长石两阶段年龄中,t_1主要分布于1800 Ma左右,最大值为2483 Ma(何国琦等,1990);t_2主要分布于330~400 Ma之间。另据 E.B.贝贝科瓦对巴拉格杂岩(克木齐群东延部分,蒙古境内)中锆石的U-Pb测试,获得2800 Ma的年龄值,因此克木齐群中可能包含了部分太古
