索尼爱立信并没有在2001年创立初期就将父母最显著的特点显露出来,如索尼旗下Wakman、Cyber-Shot、Playstation等等这样世界闻名的成功品牌。这就像小孩子蹒跚学步一样,在小的时候并不会有什么特别的不同,没有父亲的强壮和母亲的漂亮。在2001年的手机领域也根本没有什么音乐手机的概念,硬件还基本达不到要求。
