本文从进一步提高现有道路交通能力的有效利用率,增加系统的可靠性、可手动性、可扩展性等方面,认真分析了现存两代城市交通信号控制系统的主要特点和不足,重点提出并积极探讨了研究设计“自协调变周期的交通信号集散控制系统”的优特点及必要性和可能性。本文提出的“自协调变周期的交通信号集散控制系统”,以“向高科技要警力”为出发点,将执行“各路口停等的车辆最少”的原则,突破了所有路口必须执行相同信号周期的限制,有可能使现有道路网络的通行能力和交通工具的性能得到更充分、更合理、更有效的利用,从而为改善城市交通系统,解决日趋严重的城市交通问题做出较大贡献。
This paper carefully analyzes the main features and shortcomings of traffic signal control system of the existing two generations of cities from the aspects of further increasing the effective utilization of the existing road traffic capacity, increasing the reliability, the handiness and the scalability of the system. Actively discussed the excellent characteristics and necessity and possibility of researching and designing “self-coordination variable cycle traffic signal distributed control system”. The “self-coordination variable cycle traffic signal distribution control system” proposed in this paper takes the principle of “taking police forces toward high technology” as the starting point and will implement the principle of “minimizing the number of vehicles stopped at each junction” and breaking through the need for all junctions to implement the same signal cycle It is possible to make the existing road network’s capacity and the performance of vehicles more fully, more reasonably and effectively utilized, so as to make great contributions to improving the urban traffic system and solving the increasingly serious urban traffic problems.
