作为一名英语教师,有许多年的教学实践经历,深知:要想提高英语教学效果,就要调动非智力因素。要保证良好的学习成绩和教学质量,只靠教师有渊博的科学专业知识、过硬的基本功和科学的教学方法是大大不够的,还需要充分调动学生的非智力因素,激发学生的学习积极性。诚然,学习英语一开始不容易使人接受,大量的单词、短语和句子都需要背诵记住,还有一些语法需要机械地掌握,要是没有点毅力,真的就学不会。所以,英语教师在教学中特别要重视学生参与意识、情感与动机、兴趣与意志等等。如果能调动这些非智力因素到智力活动中来,那学生的智力活动才会被激活,使得学生积极主动参与到课堂教学活动中来,以此能达到提高智力水平的目的。
As an English teacher, many years of teaching experience, well aware: To improve the effectiveness of English teaching, we must mobilize non-intellectual factors. To ensure good academic performance and teaching quality, relying on teachers ’profound scientific knowledge, excellent basic skills and scientific teaching methods is not enough. Students’ non-intellectual factors need to be fully mobilized to stimulate their enthusiasm for learning. It is true that learning English is not easy to accept from the beginning. A great number of words, phrases and sentences need to be memorized. Some grammars need to be mastered mechanically. If they do not have perseverance, they really will not learn. Therefore, English teachers in teaching should pay special attention to student participation awareness, emotion and motivation, interest and will and so on. If we can mobilize these non-intelligence factors into intellectual activities, that students’ intellectual activities will be activated, enabling students to actively participate in classroom teaching activities in order to achieve the purpose of improving intelligence.
