英国人类学家、民族音乐学家卡罗.帕格(Carole Pegg)从1987年起即对蒙古族音乐进行了长时间的广泛考察,掌握了丰厚翔实的第一手资料,并陆续发表了大量关于蒙古族音乐研究的文章。其专著《蒙古的音乐、舞蹈和口头说唱———表演着的多元身份认同》是她多年潜心考察与研究的成果,以其偏重社会人类学的独特视角得到了世界范围内的肯定。对卡罗.帕格本人及其著进行介绍与评述,以期进一步了解西方英语世界中的蒙古族音乐研究。
Carole Pegg, a British anthropologist and ethnomusicologist who studied Mongolian music for a long time since 1987, has mastered a wealth of informative first-hand information and published a large number of Articles about Mongolian music research. His monograph “Mongolian music, dance and oral rap --- performing multiple identity” is her fruitful study and research for many years, with its particular emphasis on social anthropology has been affirmed worldwide.
