由于NTSC彩电信号在以彩色付载波为中心的高频范围内,其色载波信号具有频率多重化的频谱结构,因此,在DPCM编码时必须采用与黑白信号不同的预测算法。本文首先导出NTSC彩色电视信号的相关系数模型,然后,作为DPCM的预测算法,提出将亮度信号成分和彩色载波信号成分单独预测后再决定总预测值的算法。示出按照这一预测算法构成的具体预测方式,计算了由相关系数模型引起的预测误差功率,测定了对于实际彩色图象的预测误差功率和预测误差分布,证明预测精度良好。本文还对应用该予测方式的DPCM编码的一例进行了计算机模拟实验,确认了它的有效性。
Since NTSC color TV signals have a frequency-multiplexed spectrum structure in a high-frequency range centered on a color-coded carrier wave, a prediction algorithm different from a black-and-white signal must be used in DPCM coding. In this paper, we first derive the correlation coefficient model of NTSC color television signal, and then, as a prediction algorithm of DPCM, propose an algorithm that decides the total prediction value by separately predicting the luminance signal component and the color carrier signal component. The specific prediction method constructed according to this prediction algorithm is shown in which the prediction error power caused by the correlation coefficient model is calculated and the prediction error power and prediction error distribution for the actual color image are measured to prove that the prediction accuracy is good. In this paper, a computer simulation experiment on an example of DPCM coding using this prediction method is also carried out, and its validity is confirmed.
