近年来,随着电镜、免疫荧光、同位素,酶标记等技术的应用,对动脉粥样硬化(以下简称动粥)本质有了较深刻的认识,提出了一些新的观点和见解,其中较能解释一些重要问题的普遍被人接受的是动脉内皮细胞损伤说。认为动脉内皮受损(内皮细胞吞噬活性和通透性增加、屏障功能破坏)是动粥发病的第一步,内皮损伤的愈合在动粥病变发展以及消退中起着关键性作用。
