Intestinal microorganisms are closely related to host growth, immunity and metabolism, but the complex interactions between gut flora and host are still unknown to a large extent. At present, aseptic animals have become an important tool for exploring the interaction between gut microbes and hosts. Many studies have explored the role of gut flora in host metabolism, development and maturation of the body’s immune system, using aseptic animal models including intestinal Pathogens in the pathogenesis and prognosis of autoimmune diseases. The study found that intestinal flora as an environmental factor may be involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, RA), but its causal relationship is unknown. This article will review the use of germ-free animals to explore the pathogenesis of enteric microbes involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis, and provide a theoretical basis for further study of the role of intestinal flora in the pathogenesis of RA.
