Objective: To investigate the relationship between the history of diabetes in parents and the level of middle-aged blood lipids, lipoproteins and apolipoproteins. Methods: In 2010, 12 groups of 35-64-year-olds from different regions of China were surveyed for the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases, the parents’ history of diabetes mellitus, height, weight, waist circumference and fasting blood glucose and blood lipid were measured. Results: A total of 9,170 cases were included in the data analysis. According to their parents’ history of diabetes mellitus, the subjects were divided into no history of diabetes among parents, one with a history of diabetes on the other and a history of diabetes both parents. The three groups were 8512, 617 and 41, respectively. After controlling for factors such as age, sex, educational level, family average annual income, smoking, drinking, body mass index, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and fasting blood glucose, HDL-C ) Levels were (1.41 ± 0.01), (1.39 ± 0.01) and (1.31 ± 0.04), respectively (trend test: P = 0.034). TG (mmol / L) ± 0. 01), (0.38 ± 0.02) and (0.54 ± 0.08) respectively (trend test P = 0.031). The levels of apoB (mg / dL) were (94.5 ± 0.4), (97.1 ± 0.9) and (P <0.05); TC, LDL-C, and LDL-C were all higher than those in control group (P <0.05); The ratio of apoB to apoA1 in the three groups were (0.671 ± 0.003), (0.697 ± 0.008) and (0.726 ± 0.028) The association between C, apoA1, Lp (a) and parental diabetes mellitus was weak, and the trend test between the three groups was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: There is a significant association between the history of diabetes in parents and the level of lipids and apolipoproteins in middle-aged people. Both parents have a stronger association with diabetes. For those with a history of diabetes, especially parents with both diabetes history Should pay attention to take a healthy lifestyle and regular testing of blood lipid levels.
