Back in 1938, Harvard began tracking the lives of nearly 300 undergraduates, making it the longest-ever study of human development. The research aims to find the most important factor that affects the happiness of life. The scope of investigation includes personality, IQ, habits, family relations, and so on. Studies have shown that alcoholism is extremely destructive and has been shown to be the single largest contributor to morbidity and mortality; people with an IQ above 150 do not live happily longer than ordinary people; the relationship between men and mother has a decisive effect on their well-being ... This 76-year study of 20 million U.S. dollars can be summed up in a succinct sentence: Happiness is love.
