现代战争强调精确打击,远程火箭炮除射程的优势外,提高精确打击能力也成为未来火箭炮发展的重中之重。由于远程火箭炮制造成本小于导弹,所以它拥有常规导弹难以企及的饱和攻击能力,在战场上可以大量使用。现代战争火力密度大, 对敌的打击就越厉害,从这个角度讲,远程火箭炮将成为陆军压制打击力量的中坚。
