哥伦比亚电视剧《丑女贝蒂》是有史以来在全球范围内传播最为广泛的影视剧之一。该剧先后在138个国家播出,收视率普遍超过50%。之后又有35个国家购买了其复制版权,创造出了各国带有浓厚本土化色彩的《丑女贝蒂》。本文将从传播学角度分析《丑女贝蒂》成功的原因,并将从文化输出和输入两方面透视《丑女贝蒂》对跨文化传播的双重意义,从而为各国文化在跨文化传播过程中成功保护本土文化并实现文化的和谐融合提供有益的思考。
