Objective To study the correlation between bone age and growth and development maturity in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methods Fifty-six children with ADHD were enrolled in the Children’s Health Section of the hospital from October 2014 to June 2015. The other patients were selected according to sex and age at a 1: 2 match rate. Physical examination of children as a control group, with reference to the American Handbook of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) to exclude mental disorders such as ADHD. The height and weight of the selected subjects were measured. At the same time, a digital camera was used to photograph the left wrist anteroposterior X-ray. The Chinese wrist wrist bone development evaluation criteria were used to evaluate the age-old, age-of- Correlation and Difference of Body Mass Index (BMI) and Bone Age. Results The height of children in the case group was lower than that in the control group. The body weight, BMI and bone age were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P <0.05). There was a significant correlation between bone age and height, weight, BMI and age of ADHD children (all P <0.001). Conclusion The bone age of children with ADHD advanced earlier than that of the control group and the growth and development of ADHD children lagged behind that of healthy children.
