One can imagine that the health hazards of mutations can affect somatic cells and germinal tissues and can cause various somatic cell diseases, teratogenic effects, and genetic defects. Experimental evidence of chemical mutagenesis and carcinogenesis suggests that mutagenic factors are essential in carcinogenesis. Therefore, it is possible to prevent certain cancers by identifying mutagens and protecting people from these substances. Undoubtedly, the establishment and use of appropriate test systems to screen for mutagenicity and carcinogenicity of chemicals are important in this regard.
