More and more photographers, especially many young people nowadays, become accustomed to the pursuit of “simplicity ” in the creation. Perhaps it is because the subconsciousness of traditional Chinese culture may be an alternative expression to the complicated real world or the weakness of controlling complicated pictures. In short, this kind of simple but unspeakable picture continues to appear in photography. These works, which are tentatively called “minimalist photography”, have no connection with “minimalism” in the history of art. They also occupy only a small area in photography but are favored by many photographers. How to understand and treat such works should become our talk and study topic.
