1965年1月,交通部曾在广东韶关召开了预制块拱桥横向悬砌法新工艺技术鉴定会议,证实了这种新工艺体现了革命化的精神,符合了多快好省的要求。本刊已于1965年第5期报导了会议情况和这种新工艺的设计施工方法。最近这种新工艺又有新的发展,基肋设计改成长条形的肋脊,纵向悬吊拼装,合拢后再行横向悬砌中内肋和边肋,因而全部免去了拱架,同时由于采用了简便的悬挂式脚手架,更多的节约了木材和劳力,加速了施工进度。又由于采用了片石混凝土预制块,降低了水泥的用量。这种新工艺是由交通部交通科学研究院、广东省交通厅科学研究所和公路局韶关分局共同研究的成果,施工及试验工作是由韶关分局负责进行的。1965
