Taking the English translation of Baopuzi’s Nei Pian, an American Chinese scholar of Wei Lu Men’s Taoism, as an example, this paper analyzes the translator’s translation of Taoist core concepts such as “Xuan”, “Tao” and “Yi” The typical “ethnocentrism” cultural view, to explore the root causes of “cultural unconsciousness ” behind the means of operation. This paper argues that “Xuan ”, “Tao ” and “Yi ” can be regarded as synonymous items in Taoist ideology of pre-Qin dynasty as Taoism. However, There is a clear difference between them. The translator will absolutely equate “mysterious ”, “Tao ”, “one ” and “God Corresponding interpretations of various conceptions of the concept, the religious interpretation lacking in ”cultural consciousness " has become outdated in today’s era where plural cultures coexist.
