电子燃料喷入系统中的喷咀电脉冲的持续时间是按照来自发动机的各种条件传感器的信息来控制的。发动机每转一周发送一个主脉冲,它用来在控制时间内接通燃喷料咀。用来增强加速的辅助脉冲也是用来接通上述燃料喷咀的,其持续时间由节流条件控制。本文提供的这种脉冲时间加法电路的优点在于:不管这个增强加速脉冲是发生在主脉冲时间内或时间之外,都能把增强加速脉冲的时间加到主脉冲时间上去,从而不管控制脉冲出现的顺序如何,都能证保向发动机喷入所需要的燃料量。
